Cookout at convention
Hi all -
A couple of us received a PM from Joe tonight and he won't be able to handle the cookout this year. So, Wiggy, myself and I think Freepop will be trying to fill Joe's shoes (at least for this year). Seeing as we are just a few short weeks away, I went ahead and threw together a list of items that we will need:
fish
burgers (buns?)
brats
venison
waffle fries/french fries
roasted potatoes
corn
tomatos
coleslaw
salads
beans
dessert
oil (if we have fish or fries)
some pop, lemonade, or something like that for those that are not already drinking
plates
napkins
utensils
garbage bags
one of those tents with no sides on it (that was nice last year)
tables?
fish/corn cookers frying pots and burners
a coupe of grills (always short on grill space every year!)
If this will be successful, we will need all of your help!! So please, speak up and commit to bringing some of the items mention above.
Probably the biggest need items will be some type of meat/fish and grills.
Please spread the word around and I'll try and keep track. I don't get to some of the other sites like I used to, so if you see someone posting and I miss it ... let me know.

Forgot to mention ... I would guess we will have this after the buildings close, 6ish, on Sat the 28th (just like it has been). And I would think we should be able to be in the same area (I guess we will need to check on that). For those of you that are not familiar, I believe they call it the small arena ... just a fenced off area between the buildings, right in the middle of the fairgrounds.
Also, unless the times have changed, please do not forget about the auction, which typically starts about the same time. Get your plate of food, walk on over to the auction and you can have a nice full belly while you are there bidding.
Dang Steve ... we were typing at the same time!!

Maybe
Well guys if I get back in time I plan in being there. The problem is that we will be coming back on Saturday from Canada from our bear hunt. Maybe with any luck I might have some bear meat with me, but as of right now I don't want to commit to anything in case I don't make it. I have made arrangements for the boy to be up there on Saturday though, and if I can I will send them up with some goodies. I hope I can make it!!

I can swing 15-20lbs. of burger/5-6 bags of buns and i've got a bumper-crop of tomatoes this year.I may be able to help-out with the cooking, but that depends on how much help we have with the other "duty's" that come with running the convention (working the gate, mtpca booth ect..)

Here is the list as of right now. Between Wigg and I, we'll try to keep it updated. I'm putting the site in () just so I know which site it was posted on.
20lbs of brats - Griffondog (T-man)
15-20lbs. of burger - Snareman (MS)
5-6 pkgs burger buns - Snareman (MS)
Tomatoes - Snareman (MS)
Salmon Cheese balls - Paul Dobbins (T-man)
Plates, napkins, utinsils, cups - Wolf Creek Products (T-man)
Grills - TravelinTinner (T-man)
I suppose there are a lot of folks out there that are not visiting much these days ... if you can think of them, shoot them a PM to make them aware.
All donation procedes from this cookout will go towards some type of scholarship for Becky's daughter Allison (this was what Joe was planning to do this year ... and it is a darn good idea).
